Maintenance Information:
Turn the generator off, allow the engine to cool, and disable automatic operation before beginning maintenance. Follow the generator owner’s manual when draining the oil and replacing the filters.
Apply a thin layer of clean engine oil to the new oil-filter gasket before installation. Tighten the filter according to the owner’s manual and do not overfill the engine. After servicing, inspect for leaks and confirm the oil level before returning the generator to automatic operation.
Inspect the air filter regularly and replace it whenever it becomes dirty, wet, damaged, or restricted. Generators operating in dusty or demanding environments may require more frequent maintenance.
