Description

Perform routine ignition and filter maintenance on a compatible 20 kW air-cooled standby generator with this UGP maintenance kit. Designed for select pre-2013 generators equipped with 999cc V-twin engines, the kit includes an air filter, an extra-capacity oil filter, and two spark plugs.

The UGP air filter replaces Generac 0G5894 and helps prevent dust and debris from entering the engine. The UGP 90 mm oil filter replaces Generac 070185E and 070185ES, while the Briggs & Stratton 491055T spark plugs support dependable ignition in compatible engines.

Maintenance Guidance:

Follow the maintenance schedule and service procedures in the generator owner’s manual. Turn off the generator, disable automatic starting, disconnect the starting battery as directed, and allow the engine to cool before servicing.

Confirm that the air filter is properly seated, lubricate the new oil-filter gasket with clean engine oil, and install the filter according to the specified tightening instructions. Check the spark-plug gaps before installation and tighten them to the engine manufacturer’s specified torque.

Refill the engine with the approved oil type and quantity, then inspect the oil-filter area for leakage. Verify the generator model and serial numbers before ordering.
