Maintenance Guidance:

Follow the service schedule and procedures in the generator owner’s manual. Turn off the generator, disconnect all electrical loads, close the fuel valve, disconnect the spark-plug lead, and allow the engine to cool before maintenance.

Install only the air-filter component or components specified for the generator’s engine. Check the replacement spark plug’s gap before installation and tighten it to the engine manufacturer’s specified torque.

Add the SAE 30 oil gradually while monitoring the dipstick. Do not assume the engine requires the entire included quart. Confirm that SAE 30 is approved for the engine and anticipated operating temperatures.

After service, run the generator, inspect for oil leakage, stop the engine, and recheck the oil level. Verify the generator’s complete model and serial numbers before ordering.
