Maintenance Guidance:
Follow the maintenance schedule and procedures in the generator operator’s manual. Turn off the generator, disconnect shore power and automatic-start systems, isolate the starting battery as directed, and allow the engine to cool before servicing.
Close the gasoline supply and work in a ventilated area away from flames, sparks, cigarettes, and other ignition sources. Note the fuel filter’s flow direction before removal and inspect the surrounding fuel lines and clamps.
Install the air filter in the correct orientation. Check both spark-plug gaps before installation and tighten the plugs to the specified torque. After replacing the fuel filter, inspect the complete fuel system carefully for leakage before starting the generator.
Verify the generator’s complete model, specification letter, serial number, fuel type, and original service-part numbers before ordering.
