Maintenance Guidance:
Follow the service schedule and procedures in the generator owner’s manual. Turn off the generator, disable automatic starting, isolate utility and generator power, disconnect the starting battery as directed, and allow the engine to cool before maintenance.
Install the air filter in the correct orientation. Clean the oil-filter mounting surface, confirm that the old gasket has been removed, lightly coat the new filter gasket with clean engine oil, and tighten the filter according to Generac’s instructions.
Check all four spark-plug gaps before installation and tighten the plugs to the specified torque. Add the approved oil and coolant types in the quantities specified for the generator.
After service, run the generator, inspect the oil and cooling systems for leakage, stop the engine, and recheck all fluid levels. Verify the complete model and serial numbers before ordering.
